2 versions of "People In Love": female contralto version by Joyce Berry and male tenor original by Eric Stewart from 10cc

PEOPLE IN LOVE:
FEMALE CONTRALTO NORTHERN SOUL BALLAD VERSION BY JOYCE BERRY (1982)

I was at the age of 7 singing backup with Joyce Berry and Scarlett McCarthy in a '70s girl-group northern soul style behind Joyce herself singing the lead in a Timi Yuro, Dusty Springfield, Chris Clark and Toni Tennille style on her soulful American version of the 10cc song, "People In Love" with soft congas and percussion by the late Jimmy Maelen and the toned-down soft drumming, done by Ed Greene, so here are the credits, shown on Bandcamp:

Here is a video of my little special presentation about 2 versions of that song:

MALE TENOR ORIGINAL FROM 1977:

Eric Stewart's original with 10cc is with hard, edgy rock drumming of Paul Burgess that didn't match his soft and buttery smooth, creamy and soulful tenor; that's the strangest thing about their original from 1977, because they had no congas nor soft drumming; instead all they had was:

a tambourine
bell tree
and roto-toms alongside the hard drumming of him

Here's what anybody else had to say about their 1977 original:

Unfortunately, they take a dive to the bottom on the next cut, 'People in Love.' The syrupy orchestral score only makes this buttery ballad even less substantial and interminably more wearying. This song is DOA. Nothing to see here, folks. Move along now.

Here is the American homemade music video of the short version of this song with the Americans the late Clark Gable & Carole Lombard and Steve & Kayla from the soap opera Days of Our Lives splicing up the British band 10cc.

The worst 2 10cc songs: "The Second Sitting For The Last Supper" and "Blackmail"

I am not happy with those 2 heavy rock songs, "The Second Sitting For The Last Supper" and "Blackmail", because they are not my favorites.

For the song, "Blackmail" that's too wild for my peaceful, sweet and innocent life, I don't like the heavy breathing, plus I don't like the loud screaming over the feedback solo, either, 'cause when you hear the loud screaming, it disturbs the peace and most everyone will say "Turn that loud heavy rock screaming off! I hate it!", so I believe that song is more than just monkeynuts and I will give it 0 points.

I hate that heavy rock song, "The Second Sitting For The Last Supper", because I can't stand the bad "N" word that upsets good Christians like me, so instead I would rather change it to both clean songs, "Channel Swimmer" and "Good News", shown on:

Here's what anybody else had to say about those 2 songs:

Blackmail:

Lolita meets Led Zeppelin -- wrapping up side one of 10cc's The Original Soundtrack, an odd bedfellow indeed for the preceding "I'm Not in Love," "Blackmail" is everything 10cc rarely was -- pun free, power-crazed, and very, very nasty, as blackmail usually is. Compromising photos, threatening letters: "gimme loadsamoney or I'll send the pictures to the papers." Ooh, it'll be so scandalous, and the guitars shriek off in horrified agreement.
But resolution is swift and damning. "She showed them her husband/he ordered a dozen/he sold them to Hefner/who gave her a centerfold." And our sorry little narrator is left at home with shattered dreams, and now the guitars are laughing aloud. It's a short song and, in the greater scheme of 10cc, a somewhat inconsequential one. But crank the volume up full blast, and fill in the words where the guitars are loudest, and pornography has never rocked so convincingly.

The Second Sitting For The Last Supper:

'The Second Sitting For The Last Supper' likewise starts off side two with a bang, being almost heavy metal in the guitar department. Hoarse vocals from Stewart here, and the song possesses the wonderful verse: 'The second coming of the Holy Ghost, we need a pocketful of miracles, two thousand years and he ain't shown yet, we kept his seat warm and the table set, the second sitting for the last....SUPPER!' Brilliant stuff.

The Woman Hunter Version of "I'm Mandy Fly Me"

The title 'I'm Mandy Fly Me' is created when band member Eric Stewart sees an advertising poster from National Airlines with a beautiful stewardess who says: "I'm Cheryl, Fly Me". Below the poster is a tramp who probably would never fly. This contrast inspired Stewart to write the song.

Here is the UK's Top Of The Pops Version:

                                          Also The Woman Hunter Version:

Kids dance to "Wall Street Shuffle" by on 80s teen dance show Dancin' On Air

Too bad the disc jockeys on '80s teen dance show Dancin' On Air didn't play 10cc's "The Wall Street Shuffle" in Philadelphia when they mistakenly played "Strut" by Sheena Easton.

The Promise of Love music video collage version of "It Doesn't Matter At All" by 10cc

It Doesn't Matter at All is a 10cc single . It comes from their album Look Hear? .
The single is about a love, to which everyone seems to have comment; the singer continues. The picture with B-side From Rochdale to Ocho Rios was a flop. It did not make good sales figures anywhere.

Here are the 2 HTV Versions from Wales:

The Slice of the Wedding Cake Version of Godley & Crème’s “A Little Piece of Heaven”

I saw the original video of Godley & Crème’s “A Little Piece of Heaven” long time ago, but now I don’t like it and besides the video of this song I am not happy about is too abstract for me with too many images growing bigger and then reducing smaller, messing up the picture in a British double vision style, plus the abstract video that made no sense makes my thoughts get in the way and I will not be proud of it, so instead I want to thank you for letting me change it to a new clearer music video of this song with Stefan & Chloe tasting the slice of the wedding cake and the wedding reception of Sonny & Brenda that fits the way Kevin and Laurence were singing years ago.

Now here is the right video in an American style:

Run Away

Runaway is a 10cc single . It comes from their album Ten out of 10 . The single was only released in England.
It is one of the songs written by Andrew Gold , Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman in the period that it looked like Gold became the producer of the album. That did not end and Runaway disappeared on the shelf, but appeared on the American version of the album.

Runaway is used as Runaway (runaways) and Run Away (run away). The background choir is similar to the choir from I'm Not in Love .
B-side was Action Man in Motown Suit , which featured both the European and American pressing of the album.

Personnel:

Eric Stewart: Lead Vocal, Guitar, Synthesizer, Backing Vocal
Graham Gouldman: Bass, Backing Vocal, Guitar
Andrew Gold: Backing Vocal, Electric Piano, Synthesizer, Percussion
Michael Boddicker, James Newton Howard & Suzanne Ciani: Synclavier

Feel The Love

The right video with Sky & Raven Whitney for this song is a lot better than the abstract video that didn't match the words Eric sang years ago.

Here is the story:

Feel the Love - Oomachasaooma is a single of 10cc . It comes from their ninth album Windows in the Jungle .

The song is about an unattainable love ( I need you to give me a helping hand ). With B-side She Gives Me Pain (2:14), it hit the Dutch charts. She Gives Me Pain is not on the album Windows in the Jungle .
